Preserving Your Dental Health
PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY IS JUST ONE OF THE GREAT DENTAL HEALTH SERVICES YOU’LL FIND WITH US.
OUR CARING, PROFESSIONAL TEAM WANTS TO MAKE SURE YOUR MOUTH FEELS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS.
Comprehensive Exams
Your visit will include x-rays, a visual and manual oral cancer screening, and a comprehensive exam by Dr. See. She will go over photos of your teeth with you and will examine any issues or concerns you might have. She always makes it a priority to ask all our patients to share what their hopes are for both short- and long-term treatment. She will then combine her conclusions with your preferences for a manageable oral health outlook that looks magnificent and lasts a lifetime.
Oral Cancer Screenings
As part of your comprehensive exam, Dr. See will perform a visual and manual screening for oral cancer, checking for any unusual signs including unexplained pain or swelling, sores, bleeding, and numbness. Uncovering these potential problems early on is just one way we help you maintain your long-term health.
X-rays
Cone beam imaging provides a 3D picture of your teeth, jaw, and the surrounding area. This allows us to accurately assess your needs and gives us the information to determine if you require more advanced dental care. We believe it’s important to get as much information as possible to get a full picture of your dental needs so we can work to develop the right treatment plan for you.
Hygiene
Good dental health starts with good dental hygiene. Here at the office of Amy H. See, DDS, we use ultrasonic technology to clean your teeth. The ultrasonic sound waves and water lavage we use does an excellent job of getting rid of stains and debris, leaving your teeth free from plaque and tarter.
Periodontal Therapy
If you’re dealing with swollen, painful, or bleeding gums, you may need more than just a routine cleaning. These can all be signs of periodontal disease. Dr. See and our talented team are highly trained in periodontal therapy. We use lasers to destroy problem-causing bacteria lurking in hard-to-reach spots between your teeth and gums. For patients who are at the most advanced stages of periodontal disease, where their gums have begun to recede, we can perform pinhole gum surgery to restore your gums with minimal pain and recovery time.
After your treatment, we recommend that our patients use PerioSciences products at home. These products use all-natural ingredients to enhance and promote your mouth’s own natural antioxidants to fend off disease-causing bacteria. Fluoride Treatments
Fluoride is a vital tool for good dental health. It can both help prevent tooth decay and repair early damage. We use fluoride varnish to give our patients the best protection against plaque and bacteria. For children, they will receive this treatment at each of their dental visits, while our adult patients will receive fluoride treatment only as needed. Don’t worry, it’s quick and easy, and a guaranteed way to ensure strong, healthy teeth for a lifetime.
Mouthguards
Anxiety-Free Dentistry
Here at Amy H. See, DDS, our patient’s comfort is our priority. We understand that many people experience fear and anxiety when visiting the dentist’s office. That’s why we offer both oral sedation and nitrous oxide to help you feel calm and relaxed while we go about our work of helping you look and feel your best.
Please feel free to let us know if you are experiencing any kind of anxiety during your dental visit and we’ll be happy to do whatever we can to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Technology & Biomimetic Dental Materials
Here at Amy H. See, DDS, we provide state-of-the-art biomimetic dental materials and technology for our dental procedures. With Biomimetic dental materials and fillings, we are able to mimic the strength and function of your natural teeth and provide flawless tooth-colored materials that will restore your smile back to its beautiful natural state.
But that’s not all. We also combine the use of the latest dental technology with the gentle, skilled touch of our team to give you the best dental care possible.
For instance, we use an intraoral camera that allows us to snap a full picture of your mouth and get results in an instant. We also use a soft tissue laser which allows us to easily treat a range of dental issues like cold sores and lesions. With this procedure, our patients hardly experience any pain, bleeding, or need any recovery time afterward. We believe using the latest technology plus staying up-to-date in the best dental practices equals top-notch quality dental care for all of our patients.
