The dental office of Amy H. See, DDS first opened its doors in 2004. Our practice focuses on providing the finest state-of-the-art dental care to all of our patients in a friendly, comfortable, and relaxed atmosphere.
Dr. See and our talented staff have been working together since the practice first opened for business. What this means is a highly-trained dental staff who have the knowledge and experience of working together for over 15 years to provide all our patients with the highest quality of care they deserve.
Because our staff has been with the practice since the beginning, many of our patients have expressed how comfortable and home-like it feels for them to always see familiar faces during their dental visits.
We truly value that this familiarity helps put all of our patients’ minds and their anxiety at ease because we consider everyone in our office as family.
Here at Amy H. See, DDS, we begin treating patients as young as the age of 2 years old up to patients who are in their golden retirement years. We really love the fact that we have many multiple generations of the same family trusting us with their dental care.

Meet the Dentist
Owner
Dr. Amy H. See, DDS
For over 22 years, Dr. See has remained dedicated to dentistry, providing patients of all ages with quality dental care.
Dr. See received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Dental Hygiene and Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
When she’s not busy helping patients, Dr. See is dedicated to pursuing continuing education opportunities, completing over 100 hours each year, to help stay current with the latest advances in the dentistry field. She is a graduate of The Nash Institute for Dental Learning, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, and Straight Wire Orthodontic Studies. Dr. See is also certified in laser technology, oral sedation, and Inman Aligner therapy.
Dr. See has received the honored Health Care Heroes Award, which recognizes innovation and compassion by the Triangle Business Journal.
When she’s not at the office, Dr. See enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, exercising, yoga, traveling, and reading. She also regularly volunteers with the North Carolina Baptist Men Dental Bus. Dr. See also takes annual mission trips with the Christian Medical and Dental Association to places such as Haiti, El Salvador, Kenya, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Lebanon, and Tanzania to assist locals with no immediate access to dental and medical care. She’s also an active leader with Bible Study Fellowship.

Meet Our Team
Certified Dental Assistant
Midge Hood
Midge is a graduate of Wake Technical Community College Dental Assisting Program. She has worked with Dr. See and been on her team for 19 years and has a total of over 25 years of dentistry experience. Midge is trained in numerous advanced assistant programs and attends continuing education through the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and Seattle Study Club. Her responsibilities include: chairside assistant, maintaining dental supply inventory, ensuring patient comfort, coordinating treatment plans, and performing lab functions.
She enjoys meeting our new patients and working with them to change their negative fearful beliefs about going to the dentist into a positive and relaxing experience. She says new and returning patients of all ages become like family to our staff, which makes her work at our practice consistently pleasant and even more of a reason to strive to be the best.
On her days off, Midge loves spending time with her husband and two children, especially if it’s at the beach. She likes being active within the church and looks forward to accompanying Dr. See on more mission trips in the future.
Office Manager / Dental Assistant
Jill Nelms
Jill brings 20 years of experience to the dental chair and has worked for over 15 years as a valued member of Dr. See’s team. She attended Wake Technical Community College, with extensive continuing education credits from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and Seattle Study Club. Jill spends her time at the office assisting Dr. See, coordinating treatment plans, ensuring patient comfort, and performing lab functions.
Jill’s priority in putting our patients first is paramount to her. She takes pride in taking the extra time to gently ease our patients’ anxiety, being able to build trust with them, and understanding their special needs and concerns. She credits the tight-knit bond she shares with Dr. See and the rest of our team as the centerpiece in creating a happy and safe office environment where our patients look forward to visiting again.
When she’s not busy assisting Dr. See in our office, Jill loves spending time outside with her husband and two children — whether it’s on the beach, at home doing yard work or simply watching her kids play.
Dental Hygienist
Nicole Meares
Nicole graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Nicole has been practicing for 11 years and has spent 2 of these years with Dr. See.
Nicole is eager to learn the latest research on how to better care for her patients; comprehensive continuing education is important to her. She has had advanced continuing education through Koi’s Center on Precision Periodontal Medicine and is also certified in administering local anesthesia.
Nicole is compassionate, able to put her patients at ease, and ensures a positive dental experience. Nicole loves her career as a dental hygienist and considers all her of patients family. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and son. She enjoys going to the gym, spending time outdoors, and baking.
Dental Assistant
Thander Chen
Thander has been with Dr. See’s team as a full-time dental assistant for 5 years. She attended Wake Tech while working part-time at Dr. See’s office after graduating from high school.
Her first experience in the dental field was when she worked as a Sterilization Assistant in high school during her summer vacations. Thander’s interest in human anatomy and radiology has inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry.
Her roles in the office include ensuring efficiency in patient flow and performing lab functions. Thander takes great pride in her organizational skill and ensures that all the sterilization area in the operatories is pristine for all our patients and is the go-to person for keeping everything in order.
When she is not at Dr. See’s office, she also works at a restaurant in Cary on the weekends. Thander has a deep appreciation for food and self-care. When she’s not working, Thander loves to dine out (especially for Biscuits & Gravy and Shrimp n’ Grits), spending quiet evenings at home with a glass of wine, and taking trips to Boston to see her best friend.
Receptionist / Front Desk Administrator
Tiffany Myers
Tiffany was born and raised in Georgia but has called North Carolina her home since 1995. Tiffany has her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia College and State University and worked in the field of business administration for over 10 years.
After staying home with her children for several years, she pursued the dental field and received her dental assisting credentials at NC DentalU. Tiffany has 12 years of experience as a dental assistant in both Pediatric and General Dentistry.
Tiffany joined Dr. See’s practice in February 2022 and began front desk administration focusing on patient scheduling and treatment.
Tiffany loves meeting new people and helping to ease their dental anxieties. She especially enjoys the warm family environment that the staff and Dr. See provide to their patients and loves being part of the team.
Tiffany is a mother to three boys and enjoys spending time with her husband and boys and two playful dogs. She enjoys baking, painting, watching UNC basketball, taking long walks in nature, and just hanging with her boys.
Dental Assistant
Katelyn Wester
Katelyn was born and raised in Louisburg, NC. She graduated from Bunn High School in January 2022 and attended NCDentalU to achieve her dental assistant certification right after graduating.
She has a passion for dentistry and is currently enrolled at a Community College to continue her education and pursue her dream of becoming a certified Dental Hygienist in the future.
Katelyn works at the office assisting Dr. See. She loves interacting with patients and being able to create family-like bonds with patients. She enjoys getting to know each patient on a personal level.
In her free time, Katelyn enjoys being a dog mom to her two dogs, Dax and Henley! She also enjoys being with friends and family whether it’s at the beach, lake, or at home.
